Responsibilities and practice:
A Worlds Largest Law Firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join our sophisticated Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. Based on years of experience, A Worlds Largest Law Firm associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Candidates should have at least 5 years of complex litigation experience, proven analytic ability, and excellent academic credentials. Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Working on all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trials and appeals
  • Drafting complex case evaluations and preparing briefs, pleadings, motions and other documents for court cases and arbitrations
  • Managing complex disputes, including overseeing discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions)
  • Taking and defending depositions and related work with fact witnesses and experts
  • Working with clients, witnesses, experts and other counsel
  • Conducting legal research and writing memoranda

Pursuant with California law, the salary range for this position will be $325,000 - $345,000 based on experience.

Technical skills:
  • At least 5 years of complex litigation experience
  • Strong writing and case management skills, direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills
  • Savvy with e-discovery, data/document management applications, and related technologies
  • Previous law firm experience
  • Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus
  • Class action litigation experience is a plus
  • Deposition and court experience is preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing
  • Must include a law school transcript and writing sample with application
