Responsibilities and practice:
Dentons US LLP is seeking a mid-level or senior associate to join our nationally recognized Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. Candidates should have significant experience in complex commercial litigation, including false advertising and consumer class actions, along with strong academic credentials. Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients, and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Working on all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trial and appeal
Drafting complex case evaluations, briefs, pleadings, motions, and other documents
Managing complex disputes, including overseeing discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions)
Taking and defending depositions, and working with fact witnesses and experts
Working with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel
Attending hearings and assisting in litigation proceedings

Pursuant to California law, the salary range for this position will be $325,000 to $365,000 based on experience and location. Based on years of experience, Dentons associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Technical skills:

5–7 years of complex commercial litigation experience, including false advertising and consumer class action experience, is required
Strong writing and case management abilities, level-appropriate direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills are required
Deposition and court experience is preferred
Previous law firm experience is strongly preferred
Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus

Other Requirements:

Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing
Submission of a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and at least one writing sample
Cover letter should describe relevant experience, including false advertising and consumer class actions
