Job Summary: An AV-rated creditors' rights law firm based in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks a detail-oriented Creditors' Rights/Debt Collection Attorney to join our Firm. Responsibilities include handling a broad range of consumer debt collection matters from reviewing legal documents, attending court matters and working with legal assistants and clients.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Handle consumer and commercial debt collection cases in all phases of litigation and post judgment execution.
  • Sign and review complaints and other legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with the FDCPA, and other consumer protection regulations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case progress, strategy, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and other support staff.
  • Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience: 1-3 years' experience preferred with a license to practice law in Ohio

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a client-first approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel: As needed within Ohio for court appearances and meetings.
