Description:
Boutique Litigation law firm based in Flushing, NY (Queens County, NYC), is seeking an Associate Attorney for its growing diversified practice. We work on a wide spectrum of litigation matters (and commercial transactions) with a focus on commercial, personal injury, trust and estate, and real estate litigation, delivering top-tier legal services to our clients. We are also expanding our practice into real estate transactions.Position: on-site Associate Attorney, willing to consider entry-level Law Clerk applicants if admission is pending.
Experience: 1 - 3 years in litigation preferred, contract drafting experiences a plus.
Qualifications:
- Experience in drafting and motion practices, including making appearances before trial courts.
- Personal injury experience a plus but not a must.
- Ability to independently draft and review Contracts and Settlement Agreements, and other legal documents.
- Admitted or to be admitted to the New York Bar
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Foreign language skill in Mandarin Chinese a plus
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage litigation cases from start to finish
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other relevant legal documents
- Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategies
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Attending closings and manage real estate deals from start to finish
