Responsibilities:
As a Law Clerk:
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda.
- Assist with the preparation of pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Review case files and summarize evidence.
- Draft correspondence and client communications.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and client meetings with supervising attorneys.
- Support trial preparation and case strategy development under the mentorship and guidance of highly experienced counsel.
- As an Associate Attorney:
- Manage a caseload under firm supervision.
- Represent clients in court hearings and conferences.
- Draft and argue motions.
- Conduct depositions and mediations.
- Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to clients.
- Continue developing expertise in Colorado family law.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Interest in family law and criminal defense.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to professionalism, empathy, and ethical practice.
