Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be a vital member of our legal team, handling a diverse portfolio of personal injury cases. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • End-to-End Case Management: You will handle personal injury cases from the initial intake and evaluation all the way through trial or final resolution, including settlement, arbitration, or mediation.
  • Strategic Legal Drafting: You will draft and file complex legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses, ensuring each document is sound and persuasive.
  • Litigation and Court Representation: You will actively participate in litigation, including taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, and representing clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Client Communication: You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through the legal process and providing clear, empathetic updates to ensure they feel informed and supported.
  • Research and Analysis: You will conduct detailed legal research and analyze evidence to build a strong case strategy.
  • Settlement Negotiation: You will actively negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure the maximum possible compensation for our clients.

What We're Looking For:
  • Relevant Experience: 1-3 years of experience in personal injury litigation is preferred, with a proven track record of managing a caseload and achieving favorable results.
  • Bar Admission: Admission to and good standing with the New York Bar is a mandatory requirement.
  • Case Management & Leadership Skills: A strong ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload. We are looking for someone who is proactive and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication and Litigation Skills: Excellent writing, negotiation, and litigation skills. You must be able to argue confidently in court and negotiate beneficial settlements outside of it.
  • Self-Starter and Team Player Mentality: We seek a self-starter who works well independently but also contributes positively to our collaborative team culture.
