Overview:
Litigation & Transaction Attorneys we specialize in civil litigation, with a primary focus on general civil defense and insurance defense. As an Associate Attorney joining our team, you will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of litigation matters, providing you with valuable experience and exposure to various practice areas.

Our caseload includes a wide range of civil defense matters, such as premises liability, wrongful death, oil field accidents, car wrecks, underinsured/uninsured motorist (UIM) policies, home property damage, insurance coverage disputes, employment discrimination, conflicts of law, claims against estates, and complex trucking accidents.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception to resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on case progress and addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct factual investigation and discovery, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing relevant documents to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Conduct legal research on case-specific issues, statutes, and regulations to support legal arguments and case strategy.
  • Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents as needed for court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Represent clients in various court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Prepare and present oral arguments and evidentiary presentations in support of client interests.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management and client representation.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • 0-2 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on civil litigation and insurance defense preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify legal issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client service excellence.
  • Demonstrated interest in insurance defense law and a desire to grow and develop in this practice area.
