Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a broad spectrum of legal practice areas, including civil and federal litigation, administrative law, discrimination litigation, and more. As an Associate Attorney, you will be litigating and managing complex civil cases, drafting legal documents, conducting court depositions, and providing comprehensive legal counsel across various jurisdictions. This position is designed for motivated professionals eager to develop their expertise in multiple practice areas while gaining experience litigating cases. Three to five years litigation experience preferred.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and statutory interpretation.
- Draft and review a wide range of legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing witnesses, and developing case strategies for litigation across civil and federal litigation, administrative law, discrimination litigation, employment law, and other areas.
- Participate in court depositions and hearings to gather facts and advocate effectively for clients.
- Manage legal case files efficiently using case management systems; ensure all documentation complies with procedural laws and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, explain legal options, and gather necessary information for case development.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Proven experience in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to draft clear and effective legal documents including contracts and motions.
- Experience handling court depositions and trial preparation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with procedural laws across multiple jurisdictions; knowledge of statutory research methods is essential.
- Prior work experience in a law office setting is preferred; familiarity with general & commercial litigation enhances candidacy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients across diverse practice areas.
