Downtown firm looking for an associate for civil dependency work. Fantastic opportunity to get courtroom experience! Comprehensive training provided. The ideal candidate would have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a collaborative/team environment.Example of Duties:
- Independently represent a client in court, at trials, hearings and meetings; file legal documents and papers
- Evaluate the facts, discovery and evidence of specific cases
- Conduct legal research, provide legal opinions or memorandums
- Address issues, questions and concerns from clients regarding their case, statutory procedures and requirements
- Respond to written motions
- Oversee the direct and cross examination of witnesses
- Perform other related duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited college or university school of law.
- Licensed to practice law, with WA State Bar Association (WSBA) membership in good standing.

- If not yet admitted to the practice of law, candidates must sit for and pass the WA State Bar Examination or otherwise be admitted to the practice of law in WA State by the WSBA, as a condition of continued employment.
