We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, environmental law, and family law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and the ability to handle a diverse caseload while providing exceptional legal services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases, utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings across multiple areas of law including local government law, civil law, family law, and real estate law.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategies and case management.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients' cases.
- Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under the law.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office environment.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admitted into the NC State Bar.
- Demonstrate empathy and legal knowledge of the law.
- Attention to details and ability to manage multiple cases at once.
- Proficient in legal research.
- Ability to work independently, along with the ability to work well as a team.
- Must be able to multitask and effectively handle stressful environments.
