Description:
This position offers the opportunity to work on all aspects of a case including drafting motions, arguing law and motion matters, taking depositions, court and trial experience, and conducting legal research. This position offers the opportunity to gain litigation experience over a wide range of practice areas including Agriculture Litigation, Business Litigation, Insurance Defense, Public Entity, and Civil Litigation. Candidates with a connection to insurance, agriculture or public entities are preferred.Our firm has a relaxed atmosphere and works closely together. Skills/Responsibilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation practices (including drafting pleadings, serving/responding to discovery requests, taking/defending depositions, develop initial analysis and develop case strategy, build and sustain relationships with clients)
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work with a wide variety of clients from a variety of fields.
