Associate Attorney

Sobel Han, LLP is looking for an associate with minimum 1 year of experience to join the firm. The firm was started by two partners 9+ years ago and have steadily grown over the years. We represent real estate owners, developers, condominium associations, as well as small business owners and individuals, and serve as borough attorney to several municipalities and housing authorities in the State of New Jersey.

The ideal candidate will be a people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing top-notch legal service to our clients. Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, RE transaction or condominium law is a plus.

Initial responsibilities will include:

• Prepare legal notices and represent landlords in all phases of non-payment and "for cause" holdover evictions.
• Represent clients in municipal court.
• Handle matters in Special Civil Part from inception through trial - draft pleadings, discovery demands and trials.

As you progress in your career, our expectation is that you will develop the following skills to succeed as an attorney.

Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research to support case strategy and provide valuable insight to senior attorneys.

Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related material.

Client Interaction: Develop and maintain strong client relationships by being a responsive and effective communicator, understanding client needs, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Courtroom Representation: Assist in courtroom proceedings, including hearings, trials, and depositions, under the guidance of senior attorneys.
