Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The Associate Attorney will play a vital role in providing comprehensive legal counsel, conducting research, drafting legal documents, and supporting litigation efforts. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas
- Draft and review legal documents including, discover, motions, pleadings, and depositions with precision and clarity
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing witnesses, and developing case strategies
- Manage legal case files efficiently using case management software to ensure timely updates and compliance
- Engage in client communication to provide updates, gather information, and clarify legal options
- Support litigation efforts through court depositions, procedural law applications, and legal advocacy
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases involving probate litigation.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience or internship in probate litigation or related fields such as criminal law, family law or civil litigation.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw for statutory and case law analysis
- Excellent legal writing and drafting skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality work
- Knowledge of procedural law and courtroom procedures including trial preparation and court depositions
- Effective negotiation skills for settlement discussions and client advocacy
- Familiarity with legal motion preparation, contract drafting, and client communication strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively
