What You'll Do
  • Client Advocacy & Case Management
  • Manage a plaintiff-side personal injury caseload from intake through resolution.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, text, and in-person meetings.
  • Provide legal counsel regarding case value, strategy, litigation, and resolution.
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers and defense counsel to maximize client outcomes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.
  • Manage a large and active caseload with precision and care.
  • Ensure compliance with all deadlines, statutes, and court requirements.
  • Litigation (Strongly Preferred)
  • Handle litigation matters including depositions, mediations, motion practice, and court appearances as applicable.
  • Coordinate with experts, medical providers, and support staff to build strong cases.
  • Prepare cases for settlement, arbitration, or trial.
  • Business Development & Community Engagement
  • Help establish and grow The Advocates' presence in the San Diego market.
  • Build relationships with referral partners, medical providers, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote firm services.
  • Represent the firm at networking events and within the local community.
  • Contribute to strategies that drive case growth and expand market presence.
  • Tech-Driven Efficiency
  • Utilize advanced legal software to track case progress and maintain detailed records.
  • Communicate effectively through the firm's systems and processes.
  • Leverage technology to enhance client experience and case outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with coordinators, paralegals, and support staff to ensure cases move efficiently.
  • Participate in firm meetings, training, and team events.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • 5+ years of Personal Injury law experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a personal injury caseload.
  • Strong negotiation, client communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical abilities.

Preferred:
  • Litigation experience, including depositions, motion practice, mediations, and court appearances.
  • 7+ years of personal injury experience.
  • Experience handling complex or high-value injury claims.
  • Experience building referral relationships and community partnerships.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required.
