Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to lead and execute across all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation strategy and discovery through motion practice, settlement negotiations, and courtroom appearances.

This role requires a high-performing legal professional who not only manages complex civil litigation matters independently, but also drives operational consistency, elevates team performance, and contributes to the firm's long-term growth. This is not a passive support role.

The Associate Attorney is expected to take full ownership of case execution across business, real estate, construction, and general civil litigation matters, proactively identify risks and inefficiencies, and implement solutions that improve accuracy, speed, and quality across matters. You will serve as a trusted partner to senior attorneys and a resource to junior staff, helping build scalable systems, refine workflows, and establish best practices across the litigation function.

We are looking for someone who leads through action and accountability and is prepared to play a key role in developing both people and process within a growing firm.

Success Looks Like
  • Manage matters with confidence from pre-litigation through resolution.
  • Support a positive culture and promote yourself for a team leadership role.
  • Clients consistently feel informed and supported throughout the legal process.
  • Earn discretionary with incentive bonus eligibility beginning at 1,600 billable hours per year.

Core Competencies:
  • Represent clients in all phases of litigation, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and depositions.
  • Draft, review, and refine legal documents, pleadings, motions, and tailored briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and apply findings to develop and strengthen case positions.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client goals and risk tolerance.
  • Negotiate settlements effectively while consistently prioritizing client interests.
  • Proactively communicate with clients, providing timely updates and managing expectations.
  • Maintain organized files and meet all court-imposed and internal deadlines with precision.
  • Identify procedural risks and operational inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve accuracy, speed, and quality across matters.
  • Mentor and support, serving as a resource for professional development and best practices.
  • Contribute as a leader within the firm, supporting culture, process improvement, and long-term growth initiatives.

Education:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the State Bar of Arizona.
  • Strong research and writing skills.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $110,000-$150,000 based on experience

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM | Fully On-Site, Phoenix, Arizona

Physical Requirements:
  • Standard office environment; prolonged sitting and computer use.
  • Occasional site visits require walking on construction surfaces and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs during occasional site inspections or document transport.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
