- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Assist in all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Manage case files.
- Assist with trial preparation and attend trials as needed.
- Analyze and interpret complex legal issues.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments and case law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Oklahoma Bar.
- 0-5 years of civil litigation experience preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in medical malpractice defense or insurance defense is a plus.
