Overview:We are seeking an associate attorney with a minimum of 2 years experience in civil litigation to join our growing law firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various types of civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury and insurance defense. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your legal skills across multiple practice areas while contributing to meaningful client outcomes. The successful applicant will demonstrate exceptional research, writing, and interpersonal skills with an ability to work within a collaborative team oriented environment.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
- Undertake all aspects of preparing cases for trial, including discovery, depositions, court hearings, mediation and trial.
- Work collaboratively with partners, associates and staff to reach favorable outcomes for clients.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses and experts.
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Oklahoma.
- Civil litigation experience related to personal injury and/or insurance defense.
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented law office environment.
