Description:
We are a family law firm that handles complicated, litigious divorce and custody matters. We provide training and mentorship, hands-on work that will put you in the courtroom, and a chance to make a valuable and important difference in the lives of our clients.We do not have crazy billable requirements, we don't spy on our employees, and we don't micromanage. We require an open mind, a strong work ethic and a good sense of humor. It's family law, so if you lack a sense of humor, have a huge ego, can't roll with the punches, or are delicate and easily offended, then we're probably not a good fit for you.
We offer a 401(k), cover 100% of health and dental insurance, commute reimbursement, free parking, gym reimbursement, and paid time off that we actually expect you to take. We are also closed between Christmas and New Year's.
Salary is commensurate with experience, and we are looking for someone with 2 -5 years of family law experience.
Enjoy being part of a “team” and talking case strategy with your colleagues? Want to develop actual, meaningful friendships with your colleagues? Come join us. We have created a very special work environment here, and we don't want that to change.
You must have some prior family law experience to be considered for this position. You have to know what you are getting in to – family law isn't for everyone. In addition, you must be a good fit for our office culture. That means being friendly, willing to pitch in, being smart, organized, and taking pride in your work, writing well, and being able to handle (and perhaps even welcome) direct and honest feedback.
Requirements:
- Ability to handle highly emotional clients;
- Excellent legal writing and research skills (we don't use AI to write, and we don't want you to, either);
- Ability to self-start and work independently, but also to work collaboratively with the input of others;
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and strong critical thinking skills;
- Ability to efficiently execute multiple time-sensitive projects; and,
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with associates, partners, staff, and clients.
