Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate possesses over 2 years of experience in family law and is knowledgeable about Minnesota procedures. The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Preparing motions, affidavits, legal arguments, testimony, and trial briefs
  • Conducting thorough preparations for hearings
  • Consulting with clients to strategize on cases
  • Communicating with opposing parties, courts, and relevant stakeholders
  • Conducting comprehensive legal research to identify and apply pertinent case law, statutes, and judicial decisions
  • Investigating the facts surrounding cases
  • Reviewing and staying updated on new laws and regulations
  • Drafting substantive correspondence
  • Reviewing and approving documents prepared by paralegals

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience in family law
  • Admitted to Minnesota Bar
  • Expresses sensitivity to others – can make clients feel comfortable sharing personal information relating to their cases
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Open-minded and willing to learn
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Can quickly adapt to changing deadlines
