Responsibilities:

Conduct client interviews and investigations to gather case information.
Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, motions, and discovery requests.
Prepare for and attend client meetings, court hearings, and mediations.
Conduct legal research and write persuasive legal briefs.
Assist with client communication and case management.
Stay up-to-date on current family law developments in Tennessee.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (or 3L student).
Admitted to practice law in the state of Tennessee (or eligible for admission).
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
A passion for family law and a desire to help individuals navigate complex legal issues.
Prior experience (while in law school or in a clerkship) in family law is a plus.
