Brodie Law Group is seeking an Associate Attorney who wants meaningful, real-world legal experience.This position is designed for an attorney who wants to get into the courtroom, work directly with clients and the public, develop confidence as an advocate, and gain hands-on experience that many attorneys do not receive until much later in practice.
We are looking for someone who communicates well, relates easily to people, is comfortable speaking in court, and wants to continue developing as an advocate.

What You'll Do:
Your responsibilities may include:
- Prepare for and appear at court calendars, hearings, and other proceedings.
- Review files, evidence, court records, and other materials in preparation for hearings.
- Communicate with parties, attorneys, witnesses, court personnel, and other individuals involved in assigned matters.
- Negotiate and resolve matters when appropriate.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Maintain responsibility for deadlines, court appearances, and assigned cases.
- Develop courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.
- Assist Brodie Law Group attorneys with personal injury matters as needed.
- Conduct legal research and assist with litigation strategy.
- Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation as opportunities arise.
- Communicate directly with clients and help them understand the legal process.
- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the Brodie Law Group team.
What We're Looking For:
- A J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Georgia, or eligibility for admission with licensure expected before beginning the position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence speaking with clients, attorneys, judges, court personnel, and members of the public.
- Ability to relate to people from different backgrounds and communicate in a professional, respectful, and understandable way.
- Willingness to appear in court and develop courtroom skills.
- Comfort speaking in front of others and making decisions in real time.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines.
- Ability to prepare thoroughly and take ownership of assigned matters.
- Good judgment and willingness to ask questions and learn.
- Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Interest in litigation, courtroom advocacy, personal injury, or trial practice.
