Los Angeles Real Estate Attorneys is a boutique AV-rated downtown Los Angeles law firm, specializing in environmental, real property and business litigation, and business and commercial transactions. We are seeking a full-time litigation / transactional associate with 1 to 3 years of experience. Excellent written communication and proofreading skills are required. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and hard-working team player.

Responsibilities:

Provide legal support to clients and assist partners
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
Stay current with legal developments in relevant practice areas.
Participate in business development and client acquisition efforts.
Prepare for and attend a wide variety of hearings for law and motion practice.
Review client documents to prepare productions for discovery.
Propound and respond to written discovery.
Review, revise, and negotiate contract terms.
Prepare witness outlines for deposition or trial testimony.

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of general litigation and/or transactional experience.
Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
Strong research and oral advocacy skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
The ability to communicate effectively and handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.
Experience drafting various pleadings and motions, including motions for preliminary and final approval.
Must be an active member of the State Bar of California in good standing.
