We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our Plaintiff's Personal Injury Litigation Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing our clients with the help and support they deserve. Spencer Law Group seeks a self-starter with some personal injury experience preferred. You will represent clients from intake to trial, handling research, drafting, motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediation, and assisting senior attorneys with trial preparation. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and legal analysis.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memos with precision and clarity.
- Preparing and conducting hearings, trials, negotiations, and client meetings
- Managing case files and evidence.
- Support the litigation team in managing client communications and maintaining detailed case records within the law office management system.
- Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions to help achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Stay current on evolving laws and regulations across practice areas such as securities law, environmental law, and tribal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with team members on complex litigation strategies and contribute to legal research projects that require strong analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Demonstrated experience or coursework in personal injury, litigation, and appeals.
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Prior experience in litigation preferred.
