Description:

Lancaster Law Group is seeking an Associate Attorney who is interested in developing a career and building a practice in family law.

We are a small Lancaster-based law firm dedicated exclusively to family law. Our practice focuses primarily on divorce, equitable distribution, child custody, support, and related family law matters. We are looking for an attorney who wants the opportunity to gain meaningful experience, work directly with clients, and develop their own practice within a small-firm environment.

The Opportunity:
This position is well suited for an attorney who is genuinely interested in family law and wants to become an experienced and trusted family law practitioner. Rather than being one attorney among many in a large firm, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take an active role in cases, develop courtroom experience, build relationships with clients, and grow professionally alongside an established family law practice.

The associate will work on divorce and child custody matters from the initial client consultation through negotiation, settlement, and litigation. Responsibilities will include:
  • Representing clients in divorce and child custody proceedings
  • Appearing at conferences, hearings, and other court proceedings
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents
  • Conducting legal research and preparing for hearings and trials
  • Communicating directly with clients and opposing counsel
  • Assisting with negotiation and resolution of family law disputes
  • Managing an individual caseload with support from the firm
  • Developing relationships and building a long-term family law practice

What we are looking for:
We are looking for an attorney who is:
  • Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, or eligible for admission
  • Interested in concentrating their practice in divorce, child custody, and family law
  • A strong writer and communicator
  • Comfortable working directly with clients
  • Interested in developing litigation and courtroom skills
  • Professional, dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple matters
  • Interested in working in a collaborative small-firm environment
  • Motivated to develop their own reputation, client relationships, and practice over time

We are particularly interested in finding the right attorney who wants to learn family law and develop into an accomplished family law practitioner. This is an opportunity for an attorney to join our firm out of law school and build a career.
