Description:
Busy law firm in Southern Utah is currently looking for a full-time attorney to join our growing practice. We have an immediate opening for an attorney with 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation (real estate, business, probate, personal injury and other areas as well) and experience with working cases from the initial consultation through resolution of the case either through settlement or trial. We expect the following to be the main responsibilities of the Associate Attorney:- Meet with and retain potential clients.
- Independently manage a large case load.
- Analyze the probable outcome of cases.
- Present and summarize cases to judges.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Educate and advocate for clients.
- Prepare and draft legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations and trials.
- Work closely with senior attorneys in assisting with entire case load of law firm.
- Meet annual billing requirements
Qualifications:
- Member of the Utah State Bar
- Experience in civil litigation.
- Must be able to handle a full caseload efficiently.
- Must have excellent creative writing skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be a quick learner.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must have basic computer knowledge.
- Must be able to handle high stress.
