Overview:
Gregg & Gregg is interested in hiring an associate attorney looking for a rewarding career while also affording them the opportunity to enjoy downtime with family and friends. The right candidate will find a warm and friendly work environment as the majority of our attorneys and staff have worked together for 20+years. Our new associate will be tasked with assisting in the day to day interaction with existing clients, research, contract writing, collections and a variety of other assigned tasks. We are looking for a self motivated, organized individual with good communication and writing skills. Training will be provided in the areas of needed assistance. This position will be weighted toward in-office work but will require some in-court litigation, primarily with respect to HOA litigation for collection of delinquent accounts and representing the firm at prosecutions dockets in various cities that we represent .

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Assist in drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
  • Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
  • Negotiate settlements and plea bargains on behalf of clients
  • Attend client meetings and provide legal advice and guidance
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area

Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong negotiation skills
