We are seeking an Associate Attorney to become a part of our Fort Lauderdale Personal Injury Attorneys Personal Injury Family in PIP Litigation department! The ideal candidate is hardworking, ambitious and has an interest and willingness to learn and grow!Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in PIP (preferably plaintiff but not required)
- proficient in speaking and/or writing another language besides English (preferably Spanish or Haitian Creole)
- A license in good standing to practice law in Florida
- The ability to handle a large and active caseload from the intake process through negotiating with insurance companies
- Must be a self-starter and goal oriented with a focus on long term career goals
- Pride in your client-focused practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow you to effectively manage relationships with a variety of people including – investigators, adjusters, opposing counsel, clients, etc.
- Ability for assembling and organizing information gathered during intake for presentation at settlement conferences or pre-suit mediations
- Must be competent and proficient in the use of different computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), case management software, and file organizing software
- Draft/review substantive demands and other correspondence to insurance companies
- Respond to demand offers and other correspondence
- Attend recorded statements, examinations under oath, depositions, mediations, and meetings with clients
- Ability to negotiate settlements
- Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment
