Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, bilingual (fluent in both Spanish and English), Associate Attorney to join our multi-practice firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cases in litigation, consultations, legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing support to senior attorneys. This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Duties:
  • Conduct legal research using various tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts
  • Handle, primarily, family law cases and some immigration cases
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other attorneys
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
  • Represent clients in court proceedings
  • Handle administrative tasks related to legal matters

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar association
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English and Spanish
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Prior experience in litigation, legal research, and drafting legal documents
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools like Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Experience in Family Law and Immigration law

Nice-to-have Skills:
  • Experience in negotiating settlements
  • Familiarity with various areas of law such as contract law, civil litigation, estate planning, or criminal law
