Duties:
  • Work in the Dallas office, but handle litigation in multiple counties
  • Litigate cases in court, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and trials
  • draft questions for depositions
  • defend clients in depositions
  • prepare arguments for hearings, pre-trial matters
  • draft questions for trial witnesses
  • draft pre-trial documents
  • serve as first or second chair in trial
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar Association for more than 2 years
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • manage daily tasks related to a litigation docket
  • manage and oversee a litigation calendar
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Prior experience in litigation and negotiation is preferred
