Overview:
CopyCat is looking for an enthusiastic attorney for nationwide federal court litigation support in our Coral Springs, Florida office location.
Candidates should preferably have a minimum of 0-6 years of litigation experience in any area. Experience with state as well as federal courts, trial preparation, motion practice, legal research, and depositions is preferred. Candidates will have the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by our managing partners.
In addition, candidates should be interested in working in a fast paced and collaborative environment.
Principal duties include:
- Negotiating and structuring settlements
- Overseeing/supervising the research and drafting of infringement notices/demand letters
- Drafting federal court pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Participating in federal court hearings and depositions
- Performing legal research
- Interacting with clients, opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and opposing parties
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Florida Bar Association admittance
- Attention to detail
- Analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superb organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
