Important Information:

  • This is an in-person only position for our Cocoa, FL office location.
  • Prior Collection and/or Subrogation experience is preferred.
  • Leadership and/or business management experience is desired but not required.

Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing support to senior attorneys, legal guidance to office staff, handling litigation matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws/regulations, & determining the best course of action to efficiently reach our clients' goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Appear for Hearings
  • Appear for Trials
  • Appear for Meditations
  • Conduct Depositions
  • Review outgoing and incoming pleadings and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal direction for case handling.
  • Provide legal guidance to office support staff.
  • Communicate with Clients regarding case activities.
  • Communicate with Clients regarding settlement offers.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
  • Supervise legal assistants.
  • Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
  • Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions.
  • Make suggestions for improving office procedures & increasing efficiency.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
