Job Summary:The Law Office of Emily Feliz Garcia is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, dedicated, discrete and honest. Associate Attorney must have a strong background in legal research, drafting, and various areas of law such as Immigration law, Family law, Criminal Law.
We are happy to train the right candidate who demonstrates professionalism, organization, and a desire to build a career in law.
Special consideration will be given to those with prior experience in these areas and a drive to support the Immigrant and minorities and those who are bilingual in Spanish. Flexible Schedule.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research using resources
- Analyzing conflicts in legal matters and advising clients on solutions
- Provide Legal representation before USCIS, EOIR, BIA and Local Municipal, Common Pleas and Juvenile Courts
- Draft legal documents including Immigrations form with USCIS, Motions and Brief with EOIR, and pleadings in Criminal Law and Family Law
- Assist in negotiating settlements and agreements
- Ability to effectively collaborate and work as part of a team, including coordinating with paralegals, support staff, and Senior Attorney
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Assisting in the review of legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar
- Experience in Immigration Law, Family Law and Criminal Law
- Strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Attention detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
