What We're Looking For:
  • Licensed in Illinois(Active and in good standing). Admission in Indiana is a plus.
  • 1–5 years of experience in civil defense litigation, with a focus on:
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Conducting legal research and case analysis
  • Communicating with clients and/or insurance carriers
  • Strong writing and advocacy skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience with mediations/arbitrations is a plus but not required

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a robust caseload with a focus on toxic tort (asbestos) and general liability defense
  • Handle cases from inception through resolution or trial in collaboration with partners
  • Participate in depositions, court appearances, and more
  • Contribute to strategy discussions and case planning
