Position Overview:The Law Offices of Elsa Martinez, PLC, a respected immigration law firm, is seeking a highly qualified Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive immigration legal services to a diverse client base, representing individuals before USCIS, EOIR, and other relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and represent clients in all areas of immigration law, including family-based petitions, waivers, removal defense, humanitarian relief, and related matters.
- Draft motions, petitions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
- Prepare clients and witnesses for interviews, hearings, and court proceedings.
- Manage a caseload in accordance with professional standards and firm policies.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with clients regarding case progress.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 2+ years experience in immigration law
- Admission to the bar of any U.S. state, in good standing.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to immigration law and service to immigrant communities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience representing clients in immigration court proceedings or USCIS interviews
