Location: Los Angeles, CAThe Los Angeles office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate to join its team.
Job Requirements:
- Experience representing employers in employment litigation matters
- Experience handling single-plaintiff employment litigation, wage and hour matters, and employment class actions
- Exposure to employment counseling and advice work (preferred)
- Familiarity with traditional labor matters, including arbitrations, labor negotiations, union avoidance campaigns, and NLRB proceedings (a plus)
- Proficient in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion drafting, court appearances, and trial preparation
- Outstanding writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials
Ideal Candidates Will:
- Have 1–3 years of experience representing employers in labor and employment matters
- Be highly motivated to join an active national Labor and Employment practice
- Demonstrate initiative and readiness to assume responsibility for client matters
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a large, collaborative team environment
- Be admitted to the California Bar (required)
