Riemer Hess LLC seeks an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of ERISA long term disability and/or Social Security Disability Insurance experience who shares our passion for helping others. As part of our team, you will be responsible for a docket of disability claims, appeals, and litigation. In this role, you will gain experience supervising a team of paralegals and legal assistants. You also will have the opportunity to interact with clients while providing legal advice, guidance, and setting/managing client expectations.

What We Would Like You to Bring to the Table
- Minimum of 3 years of ERISA long term disability and/or Social Security Disability experience required. Must be admitted to practice in New York. Experience with Workers Compensation and Personal Injury is a plus.
- Experience with persuasive writing.
- Experience managing client relations.
- Experience managing paralegals and support staff.
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to give clear advice.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and career aspirations.
- Strong computer skills. We have state-of-the-art systems and a paperless office.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills to support interactions with clients, potential clients, doctor's offices, and insurance companies.
- Familiarity with medical records, medical/psychological terminology and insurance company practices helpful.
