Riemer Hess LLC seeks an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of litigation experience who shares our passion for helping others. As part of our team, you will be responsible for a docket of disability claims, appeals, and litigation. In this role, you will gain experience supervising a team of paralegals and legal assistants. You also will have the opportunity to interact with clients while providing legal advice, guidance, and setting/managing client expectations.

What We Would Like You to Bring to the Table
Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience. Must be admitted to practice in New York. Experience with Social Security Disability, Workers Compensation, and Personal Injury a plus.
Experience with persuasive writing.
Experience managing client relations.
Experience managing paralegals and support staff.
Compassion, patience, and the ability to give clear advice.
Entrepreneurial mindset and career aspirations.
Strong computer skills. We have state-of-the-art systems and a paperless office.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills to support interactions with clients, potential clients, doctor's offices, and insurance companies.
Familiarity with medical records, medical/psychological terminology and insurance company practices helpful.
We are looking for someone who is: highly proactive in completing assigned work and winning our client's claims; an effective communicator, with strong written and verbal communications skills; and able to work efficiently under pressure with attention to detail and deadlines.

Our employees currently work in a hybrid model. Attorneys are required to commute to our NYC office once per month, subject to change based on firm needs. Additional in-person attendance may be required for scheduled court appearances or other matters.
