Overview:Our small construction litigation firm is looking for an associate with 3 + years experience to join us. Salary commensurate with experience.
You will get hands on experience, your own files, and client contact from day one. The ideal candidate will be interested in all aspects of litigation both from behind the keyboard and in court. There is also opportunity for transactional and administrative work.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to identify issues and conduct effective legal research
- Draft contracts, pleadings, discovery demands/responses, and motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Trial preparation and case management
- Communicate with clients and negotiate with opposing counsel
Requirements:
- J.D.
- Admitted to practice in NYS
- Admission to USDC EDNY or SDNY is a plus
- 3+ years law firm experience
