Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our team and assist in managing family law and/or bankruptcy cases. This role is ideal for either:
- A recent graduate admitted to the Florida Bar, seeking mentorship
- An experienced attorney looking for a flexible, client-centered practice
- You will work directly with clients, guiding them through sensitive legal matters such as divorce, custody, and financial restructuring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial client consultations and case evaluations
- Divorce (contested and uncontested)
- Child custody and support
- Paternity, visitation, and adoption
- Emergency motions and restraining orders
- Prepare legal documents, pleadings, and motions
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and proceedings
- Assist with bankruptcy matters (Chapter 7 and 13) as needed
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, including timely updates and availability
Qualifications:
- Active member of the Florida Bar (required)
- Strong interest or experience in family law and/or bankruptcy
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive client matters with professionalism and empathy
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
