About the role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Real Estate Associate with significant private-client and estate planning experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level attorney to handle sophisticated real estate transactions within the context of high-net-worth individuals, families, and their related entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with estate planning attorneys on the real estate aspects of wealth transfer strategies, succession planning, and tax-efficient structuring
  • Advise private clients, family offices, and trusts on residential and commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
  • Structure and negotiate real estate transactions involving estate planning vehicles, including irrevocable trusts, LLCs, family limited partnerships, and other entities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, loan documents, and title and survey matters
  • Conduct due diligence on real property assets held within trusts and estates
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, title companies, lenders, and other third parties to ensure smooth transaction closings

Qualifications:
  • Admission to the Florida Bar
  • 4-6 years of experience, with a focus on real estate transactions and demonstrated exposure to private client or estate planning matters
  • Strong understanding of real property wealth preservation structures
  • Experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with tax considerations relevant to real estate held in trusts, estates, and family entities
  • Experience resolving complex title defects, including probate/heirship issues, federal estate tax liens, and chain of title gaps
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • The client-service orientation necessary to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals and their advisors

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 1031 exchanges, qualified personal residence trusts (QPRTs), homestead or conservation easements
  • Exposure to land use, zoning, or real estate development matters
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning a plus but not required
