A Litigation Law Firm, a national consumer and estate planning law firm, is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our growing Federal litigation team. Our firm has a stellar reputation for being creative and thinking outside the box to generate results for the diverse clients we represent. We predominantly represent financially distressed individuals facing collection actions and creditor harassment. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for maintaining a high-volume Federal consumer case load. This is a full-time salaried position.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Assist with case management and organization
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies
  • Review and analyze legal documents and contracts
  • Conduct factual investigations to gather evidence for cases
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents

Skills:
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation
  • Familiarity with Westlaw for legal research purposes
  • Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
  • Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices including Lodestar billing
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor from ABA law school
  • Licensed in California.
  • Preference will be given to applicants having:
  • 2+ years of litigation experience (defense preferred)
  • Debt Settlement, Bankruptcy, FDCPA, and/or other consumer civil litigation experience
  • Multiple active state bar licenses
