About the Job:
This
is a full-time Associate Attorney role at our firm. The Associate
Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of family law cases,
including divorce, child custody and support, alimony, and establihing
an immigration practice. The day-to-day tasks of the Associate Attorney
may include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents,
negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court. This is a
hybrid role, with the expectation of working primarily from our office
in Chapel Hill, NC, but with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications:
- One year of litigation experience
- Knowledge and experience in immigration law
- Some family law and related legal matters a plus
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively and provide legal advice to clients
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the N.C. state bar and in good standing
