Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will provide vital support across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law and regulations, litigation, patent law, and landlord-tenant law. Your expertise will help ensure the firm's compliance with legal standards while delivering exceptional service to clients. Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and legal analysis.
  • Draft clear, precise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence that meet high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, negotiations, and client meetings by organizing case files and summarizing relevant information.
  • Support estate planning processes by drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
  • Review and analyze environmental regulations and assist with compliance strategies for clients involved in land use or environmental issues.
  • Participate in negotiations on behalf of clients across various practice areas such as family law or landlord-tenant disputes.
  • Maintain detailed records of legal research and case progress within the law office management system to ensure seamless workflow continuity.

Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
  • Prior experience or internship in a law office setting is preferred; familiarity with legal research platforms like Westlaw or LexisNexis is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, and landlord-tenant law.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues efficiently.
  • Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting that clearly articulates arguments and supports case strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
