We're seeking Associate Attorneys ready to lead the charge in either of two critical areas: Premises Liability & Inadequate Security (Retail Defense) and Commercial Auto & Wrongful Death Defense. You'll join a high-performance litigation team defending national retailers, commercial landlords, trucking companies, and insurers in high-stakes disputes. Our Associate Attorneys thrive on complexity, anticipates arguments three steps ahead, and bring surgical precision to high-stakes defense litigation. You'll be on the ground, building cases, collaborating directly with investigators, meeting clients onsite, and shaping defense strategies that are both smart and aggressive.What You'll Do:
Depending on your concentration, you may:
- Own and manage a caseload of premises liability, negligent security, or commercial auto and wrongful death cases.
- Conduct depositions (fact, medical, expert), site visits, accident reconstructions, and witness interviews.
- Draft and argue dispositive motions, including summary judgments and expert challenges.
- Appear in state and federal courts to advocate for high-profile clients.
- Collaborate with retail risk managers, insurers, and in-house legal teams on strategy.
- Advise clients on liability exposure, settlement options, and trial posture.
What We're Looking For:
- We're seeking trial-ready litigators with strong analytical discipline and ownership. You bring sharp writing, courtroom confidence, and a drive to win.
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active member of the Texas Bar
- 3–6 years of litigation experience in civil, insurance defense, auto/trucking, or tort
- Proven deposition and motion writing skills
- Strong communicator and effective time manager
Bonus points for:
- Trial (first- or second-chair) experience
- Defense work for national retailers, trucking companies, or insurers
- Experience in wrongful death, inadequate security, or catastrophic injury claims
- Familiarity with Texas tort reform, adjuster workflows, or litigation budgeting
