Cantley Law Firm is a client-focused litigation firm committed to delivering rigorous, practical, and responsive counsel. The firm values sound judgment, zealous advocacy, professional integrity, and client relationships. The primary practice areas are construction litigation, real estate nondisclosure and broker liability, HOA disputes, insurance bad faith, and other similar property disputes.

The firm offers a unique work environment distinct from a traditional law firm. Employees may work from home except when it is necessary to meet with a client in person or appear on their behalf in court or otherwise. The firm does not require a specific quota of billable hours, but expects work during reasonable hours and as required by case needs, and a discretionary bonus is tied to performance.

The ideal candidate will have some trial experience and experience in relevant practice areas, or significant trial experience. The firm encourages former public defenders and district attorneys to apply.

Responsibilities:

Manage assigned matters from intake through resolution, under appropriate supervision and with increasing independence.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, motions, correspondence, contracts, and other legal documents.
Participate in discovery, hearings, depositions, negotiations, mediations, and court appearances, including trial, arbitration, and appeal.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders.
Maintain organized, accurate files; meet deadlines; and comply with all professional-responsibility and firm-management requirements.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Active, good-standing admission to the Colorado state bar, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
2–6 years of relevant legal experience.
Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral-advocacy skills.
Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, professionalism, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
A demonstrated commitment to client service, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
Ability to learn and work independently without constant supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Litigation experience in the law firm's practice areas;
Significant, first-chair jury trial experience (regardless of practice area);
Experience appearing in court, handling discovery, drafting dispositive motions, or negotiating agreements.

Compensation & Benefits:
The position will pay a salary of between $80,000 - $130,000 depending on experience, with a discretionary bonus tied to performance. The firm offers 15 days PTO per year plus court holidays. Benefits are negotiable and may include:
