Duties:
As a Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for handling a variety of legal tasks related to litigation cases. Your duties will include:
  • Conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Assisting with case management and organization
  • Participating in client meetings and interviews
  • Conducting negotiations on behalf of clients
  • Preparing for and attending court hearings and trials
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
  • Providing legal administrative support as needed

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required
  • Admission to the Maryland bar
  • Admission to the DC bar is a plus
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Experience with litigation procedures and practices
  • Familiarity with legal drafting and document preparation
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

License/Certification:
  • Maryland Bar license (Required)
  • DC (preferred, but not a determining factor)
