Responsibilities:
The attorney will be an active member of A Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance Holding Company's corporate legal team, focused on supporting the litigation function and giving continual legal counsel to business colleagues and senior management. The successful candidate will be business-savvy and capable of understanding the Company's objectives and using impeccable judgment in providing legal advice. The attorney will skillfully represent the Company when dealing with outside counsel and counterparties.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of legal experience (law firm and/or in-house), with significant expertise in employment-related litigation and dispute resolution matters, as well as experience in general litigation matters.
  • Solution-oriented, creative and strategic thinking to help business partners navigate legal and regulatory issues.
  • Business savvy and excellent business and legal judgment, combined with deep knowledge of law and industry practice.
  • Willingness to take initiative; undaunted by need to stretch and tackle unfamiliar problems.
  • Expert skill in negotiation and problem solving.
  • Highly proficient multi-modal communicator effective with colleagues, business executives, outside counsel, counterparties and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong work-ethic and desire to provide maximum effort to meet deadlines.

Education Requirement:
J.D. and membership in applicable bar association.
