Job Description:
The United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Fraud Section with a primary focus on securities fraud and complex financial‑market misconduct. This position will serve within the newly launched Securities Fraud Unit, established to address increasingly sophisticated conduct arising in a rapidly expanding financial region.

The Assistant United States Attorney will serve in one of the nation's largest and most impactful districts, encompassing more than 8 million residents and supported by over 100 prosecutors.

The role is based in Dallas, the center of a growing financial corridor often referred to as “Y'all Street,” reflecting the area's rising prominence in capital formation, market activity, and large‑scale financial operations. This growth is demonstrated by the emergence of multiple stock‑exchange venues and the influx of a broad spectrum of financial‑sector institutions.

The position involves prosecuting significant securities‑fraud matters, including market‑manipulation schemes, investment‑fraud activity, and misconduct associated with trading across both traditional exchanges and newer platforms.

These matters often intersect with regulatory agencies and can require parallel efforts with civil‑oversight partners such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and FINRA.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory preemployment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. In addition, continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
