The Assistant General Counsel position at A Fertility Clinic & Ivf Clinic Company will allow you to engage with the patient throughout their journey while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilites:
  • Report to the General Counsel and work closely with the legal and compliance teams to provide a wide range of legal services and advise to the organization.
  • Monitor state and federal legislation and health care regulations, and keep leadership apprised of new legislation or regulations which might impact the business in any way.
  • Advise on compliance with federal and state laws and regulations in relation to physician and non-physician contracting and payor contracts.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide array of health law and compliance matters including medical staff issues, HIPAA, reimbursement rules, informed consent, data security incident matters as well as operations issues. Frequently needs to give prompt answers from accumulated knowledge and experience.
  • Work with management and clinics on a variety of legal healthcare matters.
  • Interpret complex health care regulations and statutes and apply them to business and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, and other strategic transactions.
  • Handle matters relating to licensure, accreditation, pharmacy, and clinical research.
  • Lead compliance to deliver corporate goals related to corporate compliance guidelines, data privacy strategy and policies, and data governance strategies.
  • Maintain and further develop applicable A Fertility Clinic & Ivf Clinic Company compliance policies.
  • Ensure response to compliance hotline reports and manage internal compliance investigations.
  • Assist and collaborate with other attorneys, compliance teammates, and clinical staff in identifying and resolving legal matters.
  • Cultivate and maintain key internal stakeholder relationships.

Postion Requirments
  • Juris Doctorate from accredited school of law
  • 8+ years of healthcare experience either in-house or with a leading law firm
  • Multi-state experience preferred, particularly in California, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Illinois, New York, Virginia, and Florida
  • Previous in-house or law firm experience involving legal services for health care organizations.
  • License to practice law in state of Arizona preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, leadership skills, and attention to detail.
  • Deep experience with health care regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Superior verbal, written, presentation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced and complex environment.
