Position Summary:
This position serves as counsel for the parent corporation, as well as related affiliates and subsidiary corporations. The major responsibilities for this position are reviewing and drafting contracts, performing legal research on a variety of issues, evaluating and making recommendations regarding the legal implications of assigned matters, and working closely with the various business units, corporate resource groups, and members of the paralegal team.

This position will be located at our Corporate Office in Appleton, WI with in-office expectations four days/week (Monday - Thursday) with Fridays as an optional in-office or work from home day, depending on business need.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve several divisions within the company as well as the company as a whole with a wide range of general legal support related to day-to-day business operations
  • Provide training and direction to ensure company leadership in decision making roles are aware of and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Draft and review contracts
  • Negotiate with vendors and/or their counsel
  • Respond to a variety of legal inquiries from across the company
  • Conduct legal research on a variety of issues
  • Work within a close team environment
  • Provide advice on issues of significant legal import to the company

Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school
  • 10+ years of relevant legal experience
  • Experience in corporate law, contracts and transactional law req
  • License to practice law in any state
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Lead moderate projects and participate in significant legal projects
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proficient use of technology
  • Ability to work with and lead diverse groups of people in a tactful and persuasive manner

Experience in the following areas is preferred:
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Technology/Information Security (e.g., SasS and other tech agreements)
  • Crisis Management/Incident Response
  • Data Privacy/Data Protection
  • Corporate Governance and Transactions (e.g., corporate records and entity maintenance, financial transactions)
  • International Transactions
  • Human Resources Contracts
  • Compliance
