Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney to join our legal team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to serve the Rockbridge/Lexington community by preparing and prosecuting criminal cases.
This is an entry level to mid-level position. Litigation and/or prosecutorial experience is helpful, but we can provide mentorship and training to a promising candidate.
In this position you will coordinate on case preparation with local law enforcement, communicate with victims, witnesses, and defense attorneys, and prosecute cases in General District Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, and the Circuit Court.
Note: Candidates must be a member in good standing with the Virginia State Bar or waiting for Virginia Bar results.
