Vanderbilt University Law School invites applications for a full-time clinical faculty position as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Law on the non-tenure track, starting as early as January 2027. Applicants should have an interest in developing a criminal defense clinic. The successful candidate will perform some non-clinical teaching and also engage in written work expected of a leading clinical faculty member. Clinical faculty members are on career tracks, leading to presumptively renewable contracts. The final candidate for this position must successfully complete a background check.

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to teach and advise students
• Educational requirement: J.D. degree
